Hello parents and students! My name is Kevin McDonald and I am the 4th grade teacher at School Elementary. I am looking forward to meeting all of you and becoming a community classroom!
About myself, I am a University of Oregon graduate with a Bachelors of Science in Political Science. During my time at U of O, I was fortunate enough to get involved with the local Boys and Girls Club for a summer. I spent a year being a TA for a 5th grade class at Edison Elementary in Eugene, OR. Both of these experiences truly opened my mind to the realm of education and how important it is for students to have great teachers.
Outside of the classroom, I am either playing guitar or listening to my extensive record collection. I also try to hang out with my 6 month old Boston terrier named Leia. During the summer, I love to take road trips to beautiful places rich in scenery and history. I am currently acquiring my Masters in Education from National University.
This year is going to be a great one filled with interesting projects and access to various forms of educational technology. Welcome to the class!
